Ideas, still cooking

Manage the files
your agents produce.

And organize all your pies-in-the-sky. Open local HTML and Markdown, follow changes as they happen, and send an artifact directly to another device.

Castillos en el aire.

01 / What it is

A little room
for what you make.

Agentic tools write HTML reports, audits, plans, explainers and Markdown notes to disk. skypies opens each one in one action, renders it at full browser fidelity, and keeps the view on the file as it changes.

Your workspace, with a place to read.

02 / Four properties

From the first link
to the next device.

01

Deep-link
addressable.

The skypies://open?path=… URL scheme lets any agent, script or Markdown link open a specific local file in the app, with an optional line target.

02

Live on
local files.

A file open in a tab reloads when it changes on disk and keeps its scroll position. Watch an agent rewrite a report in place.

03

Project files,
together.

Collect files and folders in pies, then read them with tabs, per-tab history and quick open. Adding or removing a file from a pie leaves the original file in place.

04

Peer to peer.
Hand to hand.

Pair your devices once; a link pulls the file from the machine it lives on. For anyone else, Beam serves one artifact behind a link, end-to-end encrypted, without hosted file storage.

03 / Pies · a new look

Every project is a pie.
Yet in the sky.

Pies already collect project files and folders in the Mac app. Their slices show the mix of HTML, Markdown, code, images and data. The pies on this page preview the next design: gently turning slices with a surface made from HTML source text.

  • Collect files and folders that belong to a project.
  • See the kinds of files it holds in its slices.
  • Open a pie to browse its files and choose one to read.

The new pie design is in development and is not included in the v0.1.2 download.

04 / iOS companion · up next

Read away
from the desk.

The iPhone app is in development. Pair with your Mac to open its shared files, receive Beams, or import files into local pies. Read and comment without changing the original documents.

Pairing is confirmed by six words shown on both screens. Compare them before you accept.

One pairing. The same links.
Your original documents stay untouched.

05 / Plugin + MCP

Your agent talks
to the Mac app.

The plugin works with Claude Code and Codex. It uses the MCP server bundled with the Mac app to make links for your paired devices, organize artifacts into pies, send Beams and read your feedback. Its artifact-links skill asks the agent to return a clickable link for each document it creates.

Install the Mac app first · Claude Code

Deep links

skypies://open?path=… opens a file. skypies://reveal?path=… locates it in the app. &line=N supplies a line target.

Needs the Mac app

The plugin uses the server inside skypies.app and can launch the app when a tool needs it. Keep the Mac awake and skypies running while another device opens a shared link.

Feedback loop

Comments you leave on an artifact in the app are readable from the session that wrote it, and can be marked as resolved from there.

06 / Get it

One app.
One plugin.

The Mac app is a free download. The plugin is open source and connects Claude Code and Codex to the running app.

The plugin is open source under Apache-2.0. Skypies does not collect reading analytics. Sharing and comment sync use encrypted peer-to-peer connections, with an encrypted relay when needed. HTML artifacts can make their own web requests.
